How Texoma Thunder VBC Tryouts Work
Texoma Thunder VBC does not use a traditional one-day tryout model.
Instead, athletes are evaluated over time through training environments that allow coaches to see:
- skill level
- coachability
- competitiveness
- consistency
- readiness for club volleyball
The Pathway
Our club evaluation pathway is:
- THUNDERDOME — spring training and early observation
- Into the Crucible — June competitive evaluation clinics
- FORGED — invitation-based team formation and commitment
Into the Crucible Is Required
Athletes must attend at least one June Into the Crucible session in order to be eligible for an invitation to FORGED.
Into the Crucible — Summer Saturday Competitive Series
Dates: June 6 | June 20 | June 27
Cost: $30 per session | $75 for all three
Purpose:
- game-like environments
- decision-making under pressure
- competitive readiness assessment
What FORGED Is
FORGED is not a traditional open tryout.
It is the final phase of the process:
- evaluation and placement
- invitation-based
- team formation and commitment
FORGED
Dates: July 6 & 7, 2026
July 6: Evaluation & Placement
July 7: Club Reveal & Celebration
Why We Do It This Way
We believe athletes are better served by being seen over time in real training and competitive environments, rather than being judged only on one day.
